How much does a psychology appointment cost?
Our standard private fee for a 50-minute appointment with a registered psychologist is $195. Other fees apply for provisional psychologists, clinical psychologists and other practitioner types. NDIS-funded services are billed according to the applicable NDIS price limit where relevant. For current fees, please visit our Fees and Rebates page.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan or other eligible referral and see an eligible Medicare provider. The rebate depends on the practitioner, service type, appointment length and Medicare eligibility requirements. Medicare rebate amounts can change, so please see our Fees and Rebates page for current information.
Do you bulk bill?
Therapy Near Me does not routinely bulk bill psychology appointments. Eligible clients may be able to claim a Medicare rebate after paying the applicable appointment fee. Please confirm the fee and expected rebate with our intake team before booking if cost is a concern.
Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes. Therapy Near Me currently works with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants for eligible services. We do not currently accept NDIA-managed funding. Whether a particular service can be funded depends on the participant’s plan, goals, funding category and the applicable NDIS requirements.
Is Therapy Near Me a registered NDIS provider?
Therapy Near Me is not currently an NDIS-registered provider. We can provide eligible services to self-managed and plan-managed participants. We do not currently accept NDIA-managed funding.
What NDIS services do you provide?
Depending on participant needs, practitioner availability and funding, Therapy Near Me may provide psychology, counselling, behaviour support, speech pathology, social work and related supports. The service must be appropriate to the participant’s needs and consistent with their NDIS plan and applicable funding requirements.
Do you provide early childhood or early intervention support?
Therapy Near Me may provide psychology and other allied-health supports for children where the service is clinically appropriate and consistent with the child’s funding or private-payment arrangements. NDIS access and funding eligibility are determined by the NDIA under current NDIS requirements. Please contact our intake team to discuss the service you are seeking.
Does my child need a diagnosis to access the NDIS?
Not in every circumstance. NDIS access requirements depend on the person’s age, circumstances and the applicable disability or early childhood access criteria. Therapy Near Me does not determine NDIS access eligibility. Families should check the current requirements with the NDIS or an appropriate access partner.
Do you provide psychological assessments?
Yes. Assessment services may include ADHD, autism and cognitive assessments, subject to practitioner availability, age, clinical suitability and the purpose of the assessment. Please contact our intake team so we can confirm whether we have an appropriate practitioner for the assessment required.
Do you provide after-hours appointments?
Some practitioners offer appointments outside standard business hours. After-hours availability varies by practitioner and is not guaranteed. Our intake team can advise you of the current appointment options.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask clients to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if an appointment needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. Late-cancellation and non-attendance charges depend on the applicable booking terms, funding arrangement or service agreement. Please review the terms provided when booking or contact our intake team if you are unsure.
